1. Kargil Vijay Diwas or Kargil Victory Day is observed annually across India on 26 July to observe India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War 1999 and also pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War.
2. United Nations’ Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)’s International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem is annually observed on 26 July to raise awareness of the significance of mangrove ecosystems as ‘a unique, special and vulnerable ecosystem’ and to promote solutions for their sustainable management, conservation and uses.
3. The Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) achieved a significant milestone by receiving the prestigious SKOCH Gold Award under the theme “State of Governance India 2047”.
4. Indian Surf Team won the bronze medal at the Asian Surfing Championship, held at Thulisdhoo Island in Maldives.
5. In a historic move, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar nominated four women parliamentarians to the panel of vice-chairpersons, giving women equal representation in the panel.

The second edition of ‘G20 THINQ’ has been launched by the Indian Navy and the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), with the support of the G20 Secretariat to unite youth from diverse regions and geographies, fostering lasting friendships with the spirit of ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ – World is One Family.

In a significant collaborative effort, the One District One Product (ODOP) program, a joint initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has launched its inaugural collaboration with the Government of Gujarat in New Delhi, aiming to promote the indigenous crafts and artisans of the State.
